We are change agents that are revolutionizing both the corporate hallways as well as the homes, relationships, and families of successful individuals who are tired of run-of-the-mill ”feel good” coaches, trainers, shrinks and self-help experts who don’t understand the high performing brain and the illusions of change. Bringing cutting edge decisional neuroscience to the concierge model of care, we travel the world, customizing executive-level wellness solutions that “merge” these two worlds into a single plan of excellence and everyone’s ultimate goal: true, sustainable behavior change that “sticks.”
We specialize in executive wellness, substance abuse & relationship therapy.
A Greeting from Dr. Fleming
As seen on

the problem
Models of therapy don’t fit lifestyles, assumptions, and thinking of driven folks “on the go”
We are over-medicating people
Our personal and professional lives are “split” by supposed healers who compartmentalize us
Lack of innovation by people doing change work these days
We all say we want to change, but hate being changed
the promise
We match our technologies and facilitations with the needs of each individual client – including taking it all right to your door or getaway location!
We measure/assess the brain’s imbalances exactly and promote a natural balancing of the brain
We see a “bridge of thinking” between our many selves, and we leverage a systems-based way to create shifts that minimizes contradictions and compartmentalizing
We leverage neuroeconomics and the study of “irrationality” to get real – fast – so your time is not wasted with illusions
A Minute of Your Time with Dr. Fleming
What’s Essential – What’s Important
Dr. Fleming outlines a key distinction many of us in this busy world “miss” when we fall victim to making everything important…..then nothing really is.
I Want Happiness
Dr. Fleming shares his thoughts on the culture’s addiction to this quest for happiness at all costs and what we may be missing.
I Don’t Feel Like It
When we all hear this sentence, we all tend to think of an excuse. While that may be true for some, Dr. Fleming shares how perhaps this sentence is more reflective of a neuro truth around behavior change than we all may think.
Change On My Terms
Can we really have everything we want, 100 percent of the time in this life? What do we do when we are faced with changing something about who we are and the immediacy of our desires are blocked at the same time? Dr. Fleming shares some insights about the fundamental nature of the ‘trade off”.
Your Emotions
Why do we feel “feelings” and emotions are the end all be all of a happy life? Dr. Fleming invites you to hop into a proper perspective of how this inner world of ours fits into a reasonable, virtuous, ‘good’ life.
Your Will
Is a self that could do anything or a self that is grounded in reality better in the long run? Walk with Dr. Fleming to see the idea of limitations in a “fresh” way—for a paradoxical breakthrough you have been likely missing.
Your “Unknown” Life
Our discomfort with not knowing is certainly highlighted at these times, but Dr. Fleming invites you into a freeing way of seeing your life and the change it requires
Your Relationships
We all want facets of our closest relationships to change, in certain ways or places or times. But do we really know what we are actually looking for at the end of the day? Check out Dr. Fleming’s take on our myopia around struggles in this realm.

PLEASURES – The big illusion
Dr. Fleming’s Client Featured in Forbes
“I engaged Dr. Fleming because his approach and methods were different from traditional executive coaching. He helped me take an intensive, internal journey before gathering external feedback to surface areas for action. I went into it feeling ‘stuck’ and concluded feeling rejuvenated. There’s executive coaching, then there’s Dr. Fleming. I recommend CEOs feeling a bit stuck to consider Dr. Fleming as they look to optimize their contributions for the future success of their organization.”DR. FLEMING’S CLIENT FEATURED IN FORBES:

Trailer – Wisdom From The Heart
Dr. Fleming joins award-winning singer/songwriter David Wilcox in the studio for a recording session and then sits down for a thought provoking dialogue on the healing power of music for our culture’s maladies. Specifically, how therapy and music can ‘mimic’ the age old searching for the wisdom of the heart and how many hidden errors can block each craft from getting to ……the REAL truth of beauty and change.

Why Grey Matters International
is Not Therapy, Rehab or Self-Help
The brain is wired to feel right, not to be happy or fulfilled. We pursue notions and desires that, at times, conflict with the pattern-making parts of our brains. Because most traditional approaches to changing behavior attempt to “feel good,” our brains confuse attaining that feeling with “effective behavior change”: mistaking good feelings as doors that set us free. Thus we “short-circuit” our own happiness and effectiveness when our attempts at change are built upon attractive half-truths. What we end up with are maddening patterns of behaviors, decisions, or resultant moods, all of which seem to persist or actually get stronger as a result of an approach that was flawed from the beginning.
Instead, we at Grey Matters International believe that:
- No problem will ever be solved on the same level of thinking it originally was created on;
- Human decision-making is not purely rational, and is influenced by many seemingly irrelevant factors that are irrational;
- That both the “self-help” and “brain change” industries are wrought with pseudo-science;
- Most forms of human suffering are second-order change issues (ie, change coming from implicit assumptions/rules of a system not working anymore vs. elements within);
- Emotions and counseling-based-dialogues are error-prone and have many brain-based biases that need different levels of influence;
- Ultimately, human beings need help changing how we change……

Inside the Heart and Mind of a Unique Shrink
The power of music has a certain rhythm, certain structure and a certain order and so does life. The jazz paradigm was powerful to me because what jazz does is it gives you a certain structure and inside that you can do what you want. I think that sort of integration being between the analytical and the creative, the core changes and the riffing. The structure, the music and the improvisation was always at play at my work.

I still remember the feeling of going “I don’t know what to say, I don’t know what to do”. Everything I was trained in seemed to fail me. This was a person that was sitting on their windowsill looking to maybe jump, but just dangling feet so I just happened to see guitars on the wall, but I just asked if he wanted to play the guitar. It was either going to be brilliant or completely stupid. I just sat on the window sill with him and just played and it was very different and strange because it was at one level very I suppose reckless and on another level just right.
I actually think that’s more what’s so beautiful about those moments for any of my clients. It’s not that you do something, but that you at least create enough doubt that the thing they’re stuck on may not be the end end all be all. This day, I mean I know I was just an instrument of something greater. It was definitely a wonderful moment to know not necessarily that I changed a life or I saved a life, but that at least something different was possible.
