How advanced neuroscience addresses true, in-depth life change recovery solutions for stress and life-burnout – it’s time to “change the way we change”
I have spent much of my career helping those who have, in many cases, attempted traditional therapy and treatment approaches more than once. They have gone to any myriad of medical and/or clinical professionals and inevitably found themselves back at square-one within a short. As a matter of fact, the line I most commonly hear is, “How did I not know about your company?”
In certain cases however, the life issues an individual may face are trickier than normal. Take for instance, life burnout, a condition that can literally debilitate a person in any number of ways. Whatever their situation may be, from high-powered corporate executive to professional athlete to college student or even a traditional housewife or stay-at-home mom, the reasons underlying life-burnout conditions are, more often than not, mysterious to the sufferer. Think about it, it’s not as if one thing particularly stands out, such is the case with other conditions like, anxiety, addiction, depressions, etc. And while stress is often the predecessor to burnout, what steps would the lay person take when it comes to dealing with something as broad as “stress” in its general form?
When I first meet a prospective client dealing with such issues as described above, I listen closely to the myriad of steps they had previously taken to address the problem/s. Invariably one thing stands out, it is the all-too-common condition of “having the right answers to the wrong questions.” Such common examples of ineffective approaches often include; changing your environment, realigning priorities, creating new relations and/or letting go of current ones, working on personal health, incorporating religion or spiritual principles and so on. This isn’t to say that all the above don’t play a role, but what they inevitably miss is the actual addressing and resolving of the core issues creating the debilitating stress, manifesting as a life burnout condition.
Think about this phrase: “Changing the Way We Change.” As a society we are so focused on changing and improving conditions, both internal and external, and when the change doesn’t occur or maybe does but on a minimal or temporary basis, we blame the instructions or environment and completely forego the possibility that maybe it is the process of change itself which is the problem. I have news for you, if an alcoholic moves from Tennessee to Boston, he or she is still just as much an alcoholic and the same devastating consequences will surely follow. How one reacts to stressors and how those stressors manifest into conditions of life burnout is much the same.
Regardless of who you are or what you do, understand that there are amazing tools we have which exist on a neuro level, and which have the capacity to improve your life in unimaginable ways! Whether you’re a corporate level CEO or CFO, a professional athlete, a college student, housewife or whatever, the stressors behind what you do on a daily basis are actually not as critical as is your brain’s way of processing and dealing with its environment. Remember this, changing the way you change will always merit much more than simply changing habits or jobs or whatever…
