It seems that these days the superficial lifestyle, that being, a false sense of being based on nothing more than mere perception, is taking the nation by storm. There’s no question that the world as a whole has become much more advanced and thus, is enabling people to essentially live outside of their own personal bounds and therefore exhibit a façade of themselves to the rest of the world. But why is this. What is it about the human psyche that encourages folks to exist among a shallow state of being?
The fact of the matter is that people want to feel good. Even ask some of the world’s greatest sages what their perception of the meaning of life is and you’ll hear in some form or another, it is to experience a sense of joy. To some people experiencing joy means teaching their son how to throw a football or a walk in the park on a sunny afternoon, and to others it’s fast cars, pretty women, lavish clothing and so on… So what determines how a person is to become fulfilled and satisfied, and at what point does the medium they use in which to satisfy themselves become damaging? How is it that one person’s love for expensive brandy makes them a connoisseur wile to another, a raging alcoholic.
The term is “Everything in Moderation.” We here at Grey Matters International understand that life is precious and is to be enjoyed. We encourage people to live along healthy boundaries, always keeping aware of impending addiction to that which maybe they love a bit too much. Love your spouse but love yourself too! Never take for granted your own personal mental health and the mental health of your loved ones. Be kind & live well.
